Saturn tests us and will push us to our limits. It rules over time -the Greek god’s name Chronus means time- and is called the lord of Karma. Saturn’s lessons are discipline, practise and commitment. It has the power to reward like no other planet. Mythically Saturn is the son of Lord Surya (the sun) and his wife Chhaya (shadow). Saturn has strained relations with his father and that is why is saturn and sun are not considered to have the best relationship. Many people fear saturn as its results are dependent on the seeds of karma that we have sowed from our past and present life. However one should not fear saturn and instead be patient and open to the karmic lessons it is teaching us! Saturn if well placed can also bestow an individual with a lot of wealth and fame. There is no escaping saturn but there are a few remedies or way of pleasing saturn such as:

💫 Worshipping lord shani every saturday.

💫 Burn a diya or lamp in till (sesame oil) every evening before worshipping saturn.

💫 Honour your elders and old people and seek their blessings.

💫 Honour Shiva and Lord Hanuman every Saturday as well.

💫 Keep a fast for 16 Saturdays and recite the Shani Beej Mantra 108 times.

💫 The best way to please saturn is through donations and most importantly SEVA since it is a karmic planet. Try and do some volunteer/ Seva work every Saturday for the poor and the aged.
